Dan Wasserstrom is an executive with over twenty years of proven success in sales management, business development, operations, M&A and strategic alliances. Dan is an astute business strategist with a track record in startups, turnarounds and rapid growth; an innovative, hands-on manager who delivers growth through relationship management and contract negotiations; and a results-driven leader at award-winning sales performance and relationship building. Dan has a unique ability to provide organizational results through understanding customer needs while commanding respect and commitment from business associates.
Dan's entrepreneurial acumen and spirit has been the fuel for many accomplishments which include starting up NA operations for Language and Computing, a Belgium software company; building a new home health care division for Integrated Health Services; creating an online health community concept which he sold to VerticalNet; and founding DE-ID Data Corp LLC.
Dan has devoted his career commercializing new technologies, delivery channels, and analytical techniques to EMR, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and Transcription companies to help measure outcomes, determine best practices and facilitate clinical research. Dan founded DE-ID Data Corp, LLC in 2004 which has become the foremost technology used for the De-identification of clinical text. Currently he serves as the Chairman of the Board.
Dan has become an industry thought leader by successfully bringing scientific, technology-based approaches to solving the toughest data processing challenges facing healthcare today.
Steven Merahn, MD
General Manager/Chief Medical Officer, DE-ID Data Corp LLC.
Steven Merahn, MD, is the acting General Manager and Chief Medical Officer responsible for marketing and sales strategies, clinical strategies, professional relations, business development, clinical affairs and health policy programs for DE-ID Data Corp. LLC.
Dr. Merahn has started several technology companies in the healthcare space including Clinical Decision Sciences (CDS), a Philadelphia-based healthcare product design and market development consultancy, where he worked with IBM Business Consulting Services on their healthcare IT services practice, as well as with other companies working on the development and adoption of IT products in hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
Dr Merahn's background in healthcare includes, Vice President of Clinical Technology Products for Elsevier, CEO of UK-based Physicians Decisions Ltd, and over 10 years of experience in healthcare marketing communications. He served as a senior executive for some of the world's largest marketing communications companies, including the Young & Rubicam, Omnicom and Interpublic families of companies.
A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Merahn is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After completing his residency at Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in New York, Dr. Merahn spent seven years as a senior policy and program development specialist with the New York City Department of Health.
Jane Rudov
Vice President, Account Management and Business Development
Jane serves as De-ID Data Corp.’s sales and marketing arm, concentrating primarily on development of new accounts. Jane is also a partner in In Time Transcription, LLC, (dba EHRscribe), and serves as the company's Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. In 2007 Jane formed Business Bionics, her consulting and business advisory firm.
Prior to forming Business Bionics, Jane served as Vice President of Professional Services at Transcend Services, Inc., an Atlanta, GA-based medical transcription outsourcing company. While at Transcend, Jane led two highly profitable business initiatives involving deployment of speech recognition technology throughout the company’s customer base, and relationship management and establishment of two offshore production centers in India. Jane also served as Transcend’s Chief Marketing Officer and led the campaign to introduce Transcend’s speech product to the public.
Prior to joining Transcend, Jane served in various business development capacities at UPMC Health System, spent several years in management consulting with Deloitte Touche, and earlier with Peterson Consulting in Chicago, IL (now a Navigant company). Jane holds a master of business administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona, is an associate of the Institute for Independent Business, and a yellow-belt in Sandler Sales Training.
